Back to work...

It's Tuesday morning. Sitting in front of my laptop (at work) and sipping a cup of hot chocolate.

:)

Christmas went well. Gordon received a Ipod Video for Christmas. Hope he likes it.. although I had a hard time getting the Ipod to work!!! I was on the phone with a service rep and he gave up as well and said "you can send it in to the service shop and get it back in 7 days". Made me SO mad, cos I wanted them to replace it with a new one. Anyways, after much trying, it finally worked!!! The reason.. I have NO idea! but, I am concluding it was because of some incompatibilities with the laptop.

As for my NEW digital camera, Gordon forgot to buy an extra memory card. I dont understand why Canon provides only a 16MB memory card?!?! we took like 8 pics, and it said "memory full". Yikes! Anyways, I saw a great deal at Best Buy and bought a 1GB card. Hah! Now I can take ALL the pictures in the world!

Oh, we also went Boxing Day shopping. and the sales were lousy. The ONLY good deal we got were the chocs that were 50% off. Great gifts for our Malaysia trip.

We went to Circuit City and Best Buy and I can tell you, that Digital cameras are HOT this year. The sales are gonna sky-rocket. Look out Sony, Canon, Nikon. You will have GOOD earnings..;)

Back to work....

Happy Monday!!

Well, another week has gone by. Oh, how time flies. It rained ALL weekend. Not the funnest, but we did have a Christmas gathering at James and Dai's home. Great food as usual!

Somehow, Christmas doesnt feel like it is just round the corner. Wondering why, and thinking it's bcos:

1. No decorations at work or at home..:(
2. No big Christmas party at work
3. No Christmas songs (it's been raining, so no chance to go to the malls and see the madness and listen to the Christmas music)
4. Only 1 Christmas present so far .....

Not sure.. but I think those are the reasons. The only consolation so far, is that my Malaysia trip is round the corner...:D

Alanis Morissette.. remember her?

It's been a week since I blogged. Guess life has been quiet?? :) Or Lynda is lazy!

Anyhows we went for the Alanis Morissette concert yesterday night. She has such an amazing voice.. surprisingly i knew like 9 out of 10 of her songs. She sang all her top hits including "Isn't it Ironic", "Thank you", "one hand in my pocket". She really knows how to sing.. although, i have to say, she doesnt know how to dance...

Have you ever thought what it would be like to be a singer. Alanis Morissette has sang for 11 years now... lets say she has 52 concerts a year (52 weeks a year, 1 concert a week), and each concert has like 2000 people. That 104,000 pairs of eyes on her a year (2000 x 52) and 1,144,000 pairs of eyes on her for the last 11 years.. thats pretty amazing.. i wonder if she still gets stage fright.. she did says she was nervous being here with the SF fans...:D

so much for the concert...

we are going to Malaysia starting Jan 6, 2006.. this is pretty exciting. Less than a month a way!!!

Only TUESDAY?

man.. it's only Tuesday and I need the weekend already. tired.... Thanksgiving was fun. Loads of eating! Family Sunday was ok too... I am SO glad Gordon's cousin has kids... cos they keep everyone busy, and allows me to go run after them so that I dont have to hang out in the kitchen. There was SO much food! Everytime we have a party, we say "don't bring anything"... and still everyone brings something and we have too much leftovers.

Think i am still have food coma! and I am super tired.:(

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Anyone doing any Black Friday shopping?
I work Friday, so probably no shopping.. (maybe some online shopping!) It's Gordon's bday tommorow and I am so excited, cos we got tickets to watch Cirque de Soleil CORTEO. Should be fun. However, no special dinner for Gordon since it's Thanksgiving and most restaurants are closed on Thanksgiving! Too bad Gordon!

Our family Thanksgiving party is on Sunday, so wish us luck in preparing something... no one seems interested in turkey, so may give it a skip. Will definately make the stuffing anyways, cos I love that stuff!

Hope that everyone is having fun on this holiday season!!!!!!

Pixar Studio

Gordon's UCLA Alumni organised an event to visit Pixar Studio... was hoping for a tour, but it was mostly people speaking in the studio and they showed us the issues they had with making Pixar movies... We did see a trailer "The cars" and saw two short films... Boundin and the One Man Band.. it was fun all in all...:)

Go to the pixar link and you will be able to see some short films..:)
