My mom and the kids!

My mom was visiting for 6 weeks in Spring..:)

The kids had a great time hanging out with her.

Ryan loved that she read books to him. He also got a chance to spend individual days with her and he had loads fun playing at home.

Mom hanging out at Legoland. She had to go her own way, cos we could not make it to any of the Legoland shows while trying to juggle the kids.

Kids loved the outdoors with grandma.

We made our "annual" trip to Lake Chabot Park since my mom was in town!

And we made a trip to the zoo.

The 6 weeks seemed to pass so quickly! My mom was pretty happy just seeing the flowers that were growing in the garden as she has never travelled over during the Spring season.... so she never saw the flowers bloom. So funny...:D

He finally sleeps through the night

Yes, he would be my little Dylan.

Just around 19.5 months, he decides that he would sleep through the night and not wake up around 4am for milk!! Now, he just wakes up around 6.45am and does not even ask for the milk.

Yes, now, maybe we can finally allow him and Ryan to sleep together in the same room.:D

In other news...Dylan's personality is really coming out...

When he was younger, car rides were boring for him. He would just look really sleepy or not be aware of what is going around him. Nowadays, he loves his car rides, and would be very awake and looking everywhere.

About 6 weeks ago, you would find Dylan following Ryan everywhere. Nowadays, he seems to like to do his own thing, including hanging out with my instead of hanging out with Ryan.

He also loved the TV, but lately, he does not care too much for the TV.

He loves his baths, and when he is tired, he would just come call me, and ask me to go upstairs, so he can go to bed. It's really cute, cos he would do this even though Ryan is downstairs watching TV and playing.... I guess he understands when he is tired.

His favourite foods, include, pasta, bread, crackers, string cheese.. No fruits, no veges.... Good thing we still have formula and gummi vitamins!

San Diego! Go Shamu.

Yes, we made a 5 day trip to San Diego.

We started off thinking of driving... yes, imagine, 8 hours of car time with two boys, and three adults (my mom included). So, just 5 days before the trip, I decided to that we should fly instead of drive!

The trip was planned with two other families, Ethan and Daran's. Their boys are the same age as Ryan, which made it super fun for the boys.

We stayed in a 3 bedroom, hotel/suite and the boys had a blast!

TV was of course part of their fun and they always came up with new things to play with. From pillows to blankets to tables...
Since meals would have been difficult with 7 adults and 4 kids, we decided that meals should be at home for the most part. So, the guys made a trip to Costco and bought all the stuff.. and we made meals..:)

We got a chance to go to Seaworld. The weather was perfect.
I figured out how hard it was to bring out the camera when we are watching two kids in a themepark! So, pictures were limited.....

Such a cute pic of Dylan giving Shamu a kiss..

I also learned that theme parks are tough with kids!! Dylan wanted to be carried all the time, and towards the end, the kids were getting grumpy and would not even take pictures. We also did not get a chance to see parts of the park...
We did get to see Shamu, sit on a round-a-bout airplane, and watch the seals..
Next stop, we went to Legoland.

The kids definitely had more fun here as they got a chance to sit on many rides.
Ryan actually got a chance to sit on the his first ever Roller Coaster and he says " I love it, and I am not scared" :D
And of course, the guys had to play poker on one of the nights and they sure drank a lot of beer!

My favourite part of the trip.... just the time spent the kids! It was so nice to have Dylan stick next to me all the time and gave me a chance to carry him all the time. And of course, hanging out with my chatty Ryan. It was a superb 5 days.:)
Till our next family trip.
