San Diego! Go Shamu.

Yes, we made a 5 day trip to San Diego.

We started off thinking of driving... yes, imagine, 8 hours of car time with two boys, and three adults (my mom included). So, just 5 days before the trip, I decided to that we should fly instead of drive!

The trip was planned with two other families, Ethan and Daran's. Their boys are the same age as Ryan, which made it super fun for the boys.

We stayed in a 3 bedroom, hotel/suite and the boys had a blast!

TV was of course part of their fun and they always came up with new things to play with. From pillows to blankets to tables...
Since meals would have been difficult with 7 adults and 4 kids, we decided that meals should be at home for the most part. So, the guys made a trip to Costco and bought all the stuff.. and we made meals..:)

We got a chance to go to Seaworld. The weather was perfect.
I figured out how hard it was to bring out the camera when we are watching two kids in a themepark! So, pictures were limited.....

Such a cute pic of Dylan giving Shamu a kiss..

I also learned that theme parks are tough with kids!! Dylan wanted to be carried all the time, and towards the end, the kids were getting grumpy and would not even take pictures. We also did not get a chance to see parts of the park...
We did get to see Shamu, sit on a round-a-bout airplane, and watch the seals..
Next stop, we went to Legoland.

The kids definitely had more fun here as they got a chance to sit on many rides.
Ryan actually got a chance to sit on the his first ever Roller Coaster and he says " I love it, and I am not scared" :D
And of course, the guys had to play poker on one of the nights and they sure drank a lot of beer!

My favourite part of the trip.... just the time spent the kids! It was so nice to have Dylan stick next to me all the time and gave me a chance to carry him all the time. And of course, hanging out with my chatty Ryan. It was a superb 5 days.:)
Till our next family trip.

Video time at in laws house.

Just chilling at in-laws house and playing with Gordon's cousin's kids.

You have to watch this one... Ryan is feeding Dylan ice-cream. Too cute!

Boys @ 19 months and 3 years 3 months

Alright, I am so behind with my blogs... so here is a whole bunch of pictures of the boys together..
Chilling at the Tilden Park steam train ride. Kids wanted to go over and over again. Dylan knows what a tunnel is and goes "wow" when we enter the dark tunnel.
Handsome pics of the boys in their polo shirts
Random pic of the boys playing in the park.
Yes, they play with anything and everything. For me, as long as they are playing together and not fighting, I say go ahead and play.
This one was super cute. The boys saw a pregnant aunty ee-ling and decided they wanted babies in their tummies too. So, Ryan started it,and Dylan asked for the same thing (they have big tummies!)

Dylan would do everything that Ryan does; so Ryan hangs off the cart, and Dylan wants to do it too... seems naughthy for a 19 month old. He would also hang his head backwards while on the cart. This kid knows no danger.
Cheeky one of Ryan. Kids are holding their "babies".

We were hanging out at Old Navy and they had face painting. Ryan asked for Spiderman. When he was done, Dylan wanted something as well. He was suppose to be the pirate, but after 30 seconds, he decided he was done. Looks like he has a black eye.
Dylan is always ready to take pictures if he gets to sit next to Ryan.

Till my next blog.....

Dylan turns 18 months old a.k.a. 1.5 years old

Oh how quickly time flies. My little one is already a year and a half.

I have to say, he is really the happiest little kid. All smiles all the time except when Ryan bullies him.

When he wakes up, all he wants to do is look for ko-ko and he knows how to go shhhh when he sees someone sleeping. His life seems to revolve around Ryan. He would play whatever Ryan plays and follows him around. Somehow, he does seem to eat like Ryan..heheh. His favourite foods are pasta, noodles, bread, cheese, tofu, peaches... sometimes he likes tomatoes, brocolli, crackers. Oh, this little kid still wakes up at night and wants his milk!

When he sees Ryan holding something(like a ball), he will put his hands together to show that he wants the same thing too. I think he is trying to say "where is mine". He does try and repeat words if I tell him too.. like if I say "say yes", he would go "YESSSSS".

At 1.5 years old, i believe he has more interest in balls than anything else. I told Gordon that Dylan will be on the one after the basketball just because he is so interested in it. When Gordon watches basketball on TV, Dylan will keep saying ball, ball...

His love for TV continues. Probably the only time he sits still and he will sit longer than Ryan.

Oh, did i mention how he waves bye bye to me when he sees me all dressed up. He waves bye bye to me even when it's a weekend and we are all going out together!!

Pics of the boys playing on the bed.
Dylan and his smiles.
Ryan sleeping, so Dylan goes "shhhh"
Signature smiles for the camera.

At one point, he would say no no no when he saw the camera. Glad he got over that phase!

I also love it when he complains to me when Ryan takes something from him or pushes him..he just comes over to be and makes a whiney sound. Really cute! Oh, and when he hides behind me cos Ryan was chasing him with the red motocycle. too funneee..(i dont think Dylan thought it was cute at all!).

Here is a random video of Dylan trying to read his book..

** Here are the 18 month old numbers.

Weight : 28 lb 12.8 oz (81.5 percentile)
Height : 2 ft 9.75" (82.29 percentile)
Head Circumference : 19.49"

Valentine's Weekend

Yes, I forgot to blog about our V-day weekend..

We made a day trip to Santa Cruz to celebrate our engagement anniversary and also Vday.

It was a such a warm and beatiful day. Kids watching the waves. In-experienced parents forgot to bring blankets to sit on and spades to play
Mummy and Ryan.
Gordon wrote their names on the sand.
Had to take a ride on the merry-go-round. Would be more fun if we had more people to share the fun.
After the beach, we headed for some lunch. Gordon tried some brazillian food, but the queue was so long that the kids and I headed for McDonalds Chicken Nuggets and fries.
There were some big blue balls at the park.Dylan loved them cos his favorite word is BALL. He must have been amazed at the size of those balls.

The park also had some sand and buckets for all to use. Boys had a fun time in the sand.
Long slide. At least Ryan tried it once. He is pretty good at least trying stuff out once on his own to see if he likes it.
We ended our Vday weekend with some Malaysian food at Layang Layang in Milpitas. It was good as always.
