Another weekend of "What to Eat?"

Every weekend, Gordon and I have a hard time deciding what to eat.

On Saturday, we had a feast cos we went for a tea party and got our sugar kick. This was followed by take-away from a Malaysian restaurant! Super food! Chow Kuew Teow, Kangkung Belachan, Beef rendang, etc... It was good! and it came with sambal belachan that was even better....

On Sunday. that's when the hard decisions had to be made. At 11.45am, we still could not decide what to eat.. Gordon had so many suggestions like KFC, another Malaysian restaurant, Thai food, chicken waffles.. etc but I so could not decide what to eat. We ended up with Baja Fresh, which i have to says its one of the best buritos in town.

And than, we had to decide on dinner... ..... what a life!!!! Gordon suggested Jack in the Box (as you can see, he was all for fast food) and we thought we made the decision, but ended up walking over to Whole Foods and bought some bread, turkey, cheese and salami and we made sandwiches.

Do other people have such hard times finding what food to eat???? Maybe it's bcos I am lazy and I don't wanna cook!!

Thursday Night

Whats everyone doing on a Thursday Night?

Deal or No Deal is on CNBC. I am just thinking how "un-educational" this TV show is. I learn nothing from it. If I watched like Friends or HGTV or E, I would at least gain some kind of knowledge, but with Deal or No Deal, what do I gain?

I don't know the answer but I think its an interesting question.

What's your favourite show? I think mine is OC for now. Maybe Desparate Housewives, but I am waiting for the season to end and getting the DVD. A DVD marathon is more fun than waiting for the show weekly. I also like Real World and House.

My homemade pasta dinner was SOOOOOO good......Gordon wanted to go out for Japanese food and I said I rather make pasta. You know why, cos I add Chilli powder to the sauce and make it SPICY!!!! Perfect for my taste buds...hahahhhahahah

A weekend with kids.....

Ever spent a weekend with kids???

Well, I did.

Saturday : NCAA March Madness was playing.. with UCLA vs Memphis. Gordon wanted to watch UCLA, so we headed to his cousin's house. (huge flat screen HDTV) So while Gordon watched the game. I decided to play with the kids. 1 four year old and 2 two year olds. Things went well. We played combing the pony's hair, me being Cinderalla, building blocks, using a fake phone. Really interesting games. There was also a 1 month old baby in the room and she slept through ALL the noise!! and did not wake up for like 3 hours. Amazing. Our playdate ended with the two year old using salt shaker and hitting the head of the 4 year old!! urmmm... I was watching this happen and did not know how to stop it! So, of course, the four year old started cryingand that was the end of playing...All in all.....UCLA won!!! So, go Bruins.... also means Gordon has plans next Saturday to watch the game with some frens...:)

Sunday : Gordon's other cousin informed us she was free for a game of mahjong. So, off we went to her house. She has a 7 year old. So while Gordon spends the next 4 hours playing mahjong, I played with Kelly. She is such a good kid. We played "mommy and baby", throwing ball, hulla hoops, the Twister game, coloring with Crayolas and disney online game.

The weekend experience...... all in all.. i think I am so not ready for kids. playing with them for a few hours is tiring!! what more if I had to spend the whole day with them... and i would also need to feed them... change their diapers!!

Another Monday

It's Monday night and guess what! I am done with the website. I updated it with pictures from the wedding in Malaysia. Take a quick look....

I was not very excited about the make-up and hair-do for the night part of the wedding. My pics cam out too white...:( and my hair-do makes me look old... I had to hand select a few pictures that made the cut. I love the tea ceremony hair-do and I did my own make up.... so it was acceptable.... anyways... i wish someone would have told me the night make up was not good and I could have fixed it before the dinner.... sigh......

What's done is done.

What's next? Pictures from the Asia trip... maybe I will create a link in the website and put the pics there... wonder how long it will take me...z z z z z z z z z z z z z

Wanna know what I did last weekend?
Saturday was a college basketball game; UCLA vs. Stanford. UCLA won!!! It was cool since we were surrounded by red Stanford fans and we were the few blue UCLA fans.
This basketball game was followed by dinner at PF Changs Restaurant. Ok, how many of you have been to PF Changs? It's pretty amazing how simple chinese food can be such hit to the American consumers. The place is PACKED! I have to admit they have good food... especially the lettuce wraps.

Sunday, helped Gordon's cousin move from 10-6pm. This was another eye opening experience for me.

1. If there is ever food shortage, we decided we will go to Gordon's cousins house before heading to a Safeway. They have TONNES of food! Bottles of pasta sauce, bags of spaghetti, tins of everything including green beans, corn, tomato sauce, bottles of soft drinks (like 20 2 liter bottles in store), bottles of water, peanut butter, corn flakes and the list goes on!!!!

2. If Gordon were to ever complain I have too much clothes, I will remind him about how much clothes his cousin has. She has bags and bags of clothes. Since she just gave birth, we were asked to pack up her clothes. We filled up about 25 garbage bags with clothes! HUGE garbage bags too and they were heavy after we filled them up.

3. Never under-estimate how much stuff can fit into a small house. It's amazing.

We had fun with this move. My calves are now aching from all the stairs we had to climb up and down the two houses......
