who did this?

Yah, look at the drawings on the wall below. This is on the wall up the stairs...

Guess who did it????

Yes yes, it was the cute BOY shown below... I was at work and Gordon had pick up the kids from the babysitter, and while daddy was NOT looking, he went to the wall and drew on it....

mmmmmmmmmmm

Oh, some cool interesting stuff about Ryan..

He has such an excellent memory... he knows where to get off the freeway to go to the ZOO and where to get off to go to his fren Tyler's house...

he also still remembers my mom's church and says "popo's church is coming up", before he sees the church.

and he will look into the trash can and observe what is being thown away..

so, the other day, Gordon finished Ryan's strawberry pocky sticks and threw the box away.. and Ryan saw the box and said "who ate all the pocky sticks?" and he wanted to pick up the box in the trash to see it...

funny lah!

Train table fun...

Here are some pics of the train table.... yes. the one we bought for a very good deal..hehehehe.

The kids are loving it... Dylan just walks around it and tries to get into the drawers. And Ryan just keeps trying to keep Dylan away from the table..:P

More random pics...in the car.

check out the baby playing with pots..:)

the fun stuff we do

Yes, it's summer and we have been busy. (by choice)

We try to take the kids out, so they can see stuff and play...

We made it to the zoo.... for members night, where they open the zoo for members only and showed some places where the animals live.

We also made it to the park.

Dylan had to stay with daddy in the grassy area cos we forgot his shoes...:P

Here, we went to a play place called Studio Grow. Basically, it is a warehouse, that they put toys in and the kids can play. Kinda cool....

random..

some randomness about Dylan.....

He likes to point. When he sees me, he points to me. When he sees his bottle, he points and says nai-ai (nai-nai-milk). Then, he waves his hands up and down like he is trying to get his bottle to see him... it's funny!

He is starting to say mum-mie and dad-die.

When he is tired, he will start his rolling around in the bed. He will lie down, get up, move around, lie down. This is our sign that he is sleepy.*yawn*

He has been using the potty for #2 daily for the last two months. Yes, every morning, he will sit in his potty in within 5 minutes, he is done. In the afternoons, he usually farts and it is a sign for us to put him on the potty.

hehe, he just loves to crawl.won't even want to be carried.. just crawling all over the place.

Why...

Yes, my little Ryan has started the WHY stage. Everything is Why... why.. why...

Just a couple of days ago, it was mostly what... like "what are you doing", "what is this", "what is that".

Oh, we took him to get his hair cut and he sat really still while the barber cut his hair. But occassionally, he would ask me"what are you doing mummy" and I was just standing next to him to make sure he does not cry. Nope, he just sat really still and even allowed the barber to use 3 different type of buzzers on him....

Anyways,  today, it's been why this and why that.

urmm....I better know the answers when he asks!!

Dylan is 10.5 months old

My little one is 10.5 months old now.

Some of his super great achievements..:)

1, Able to come down the stairs on his own by turning feet first.

2. Able to suck water/juice with a straw. He does have 5 teeth now... two on top and three at the bottom. He was definitely uncomfortable when the fifth tooth came out. He kept touching it with his tongue.
3. Able to see an airplane in the sky and looks up in the sky when he hears one. The other day, he was bathing  and was searching the ceiling for the airplane..:)

4. Able to go towards the door for the stairs when I say "want to go downstairs". I think he can say "down" as well.. but not too clear.

5. Able to pose for a picture...smiles

6. Able to know how to disturb Ryan. When he sits in the car with Ryan, he would reach out his hand and pinch/squeeze Ryan's arm. It is funny. There has been a couple of moments where both kids can play together. Ryan is getting better at sharing and even thinks about Dylan when he is taking a toy. He would take one for himself and one for Dylan. Ryan also gets upset if we say "Dylan go to Malaysia with popo?". Ryan would say "no, that's my di-di". It's nice that he is so loving to Dylan when he wants too...
 7. Able to stand on his own for like 2-3 seconds before falling. Of course, he wants to cruise all the time between furniture. Pic above shows his happily playing with the crayons and easel.
 8. Able to point to fish and look outside for birds.
hehe. This is a cute age. He is so curious and wants to touch everything. and if we say no, he would do it more..like, he knows he should not play with the laptop, but he would purposely touch the keyboard and check out our re-action...

Dylan just recovered from the Roseala virus. 3 days high fever followed by rashes on the body. He was super whiney when he was sick and after he recovered, he continued to make noise cos he knew we would react.

We also figured he really has a temper when triggered. When he could not chew his biscuit he started crying really loud that it even scared my mom!

Oh yah, he doesn't like to hold his own bottle......laziness if u ask me..:P

oh, his eating. He has kinda decided that he prefers solid foods rather than milk. So he would not drink much milk in the day. maybe  about 4 ounces per feeding, every 4-5 hours. and yes, he still wakes up at night to eat cos he is SO hungry. Good thing Gordon loves the night duty and does it all while I snooze.zzz.HIs night feed are like 9pm, 1pm and 5am. This is what happens when he doesn't want to drink the day.... maybe he will like fresh milk better?

My little baby. You are turning one soon! I need to figure out what to do for your bday...

visitors have gone home...

July/August has been busy. My aunt and cousin visited for three weeks and my mom visited for 6 weeks. Last night, my mom went home... so the house is all quiet. blah!

family visits are fun. just hanging out, doing nothing is fun.:P the kids enjoyed it too since my mom and aunt were baby-sitting and playing with them. check out some cool pics..:)

Pic of RYan and Dylan in yellow Simpson t-shirts. Courtesy of my aunt when she went to Disneyland.  We were on our way to the Great Mall where my mom and aunt spent much time.
My mom and Dylan. It was semi-hard to get Dylan to take some good pics.
 My aunt and the kids.
Oh, in between, we had dinner at Lily's to celebrate Lu-Fun's bday.

Time to feed the ducks in Palo Alto

My mom and the kids. Just chilling.

We made it to some meals. The one above was Japanese called Ozumo in Oakland. Good california cuisine food, Sushi was not good:P

My favorite. Trip to Costco so the kids can sit in the shopping cart together..

Many trips to In-n-Out to eat the yummie hamburgers.

Back to our boring lives.. until more visitors come visit us..:)
